As promised, I am uploading some of the On The Fly photography as we blazed through the Rockies along Highway 1. But wait, if you click now, we will add for no added cost, today's shots of our trip to Kelowna. (Okay, we got sun crazy. It was gorgeous, and we couldn't resist going for an outing.)
It was fun, and we had a good day. It was still cool, but the sun made an amazing difference to the mood and atmosphere of the day.
I am a young married gal experiencing a rare opportunity to live life on the move. I live in a 2006 Okanagan 36 -5c fifth wheel. We chose to start this life at the end of the RV season, in the Fall of 2008.
I felt it appropriate to give you a brief (I'll try, really) history of our progression to full-timing in our 5th wheel.
We were married in Victoria BC in the Summer of 2006, moved to Cereal AB for 2 years to spend some time getting to know my new extended family including Ken's feisty (then) 91 years young father, his 3 younger sisters and their family - all a delightful addition to my world. However, the climate and scenery was too foreign and harsh for Ken's liking, and we decided to sell the farm in favour of the ark. My boys were going to live with their Father and Step-Mother, and Ken was ready to explore the nation. I, having grown up in a military family, and then marrying into another, spent a lot of my life moving around. Therefore, the proposed lifestyle change was an exciting, and welcome challenge.
Neither of us had gone this route before, so we just dove in with both feet to see if we wound up on the positive side of the "sink or swim" scenario. - So far, have conquered the proverbial dog paddle, and are now moving on to some more advanced strokes. :-)
